Fall Seasonal Bucket List

Fall Seasonal Bucket List

With Fall having finally arrived, it has brought about a burst of new colors and an abundance of wonderful seasonal activities to experience! The weather is perfect for being outdoors – not too hot or cold, but just right for that oversized sweater you love to cozy up in so much. Below is a list of seven things that we thought embodied Fall and that could spark a little more joy in your life. Feel free to do any of these that catch your interest and send us a message or tag us in any social media photos you may take!

1. Visit a pumpkin patch

There are plenty of pumpkin patches that pop up around this time. If you’re unsure of where the closest one to you may be, a quick google search will lead you in the right direction. Most allow you to come and pick your own pumpkin, which you can bring home to use as decoration either as it is or by turning it into a frightening jack-o-lantern! Some pumpkin patches even have treats and goodies for the young ones and may even have some nice wines or beers for the adults.

2. Attend a fall festival

Similar to the pumpkin patches, these festivals also pop up starting in September and run through October. There are many different kinds of festivals: the All Hollow’s Eve Faire in Sanora which is a celebration of the Celtic New Year, the Renaissance Faire in Hollister where it seems as if you’ve stepped back in time to the days of knights and royalty, to the Great Pumpkin Fest at the Great America Amusement Park. Each festival celebrates the season in its own fantastic way.

3. Cozy up with a good book

Fall is the perfect season to slip on your most comfortable pair of pajamas, grab a mug of hot chocolate and snuggle up with a fuzzy blanket while you open that novel you’ve been trying to read. Whether it’s a new story you’re diving into or a beloved favorite that you have committed to memory, reading is the perfect way to take an adventure without leaving the comfort of your home.

4. Have a baking day

There are plenty of treats that you can make that are considered to be Fall delicacies. From caramel apple cakes to pumpkin spiced cookies, here is a list of fifty easy to make treats for the season. https://www.tasteofhome.com/collection/easy-fall-baking-recipes/

5. Take a walk through nature

Or anywhere that you find to be comforting! Whether it’s a stroll through your favorite park or maybe downtown where you can do some window shopping for your new favorite fall clothing. Just getting outside and breathing in the crisp fresh air can do wonders for you and help improve your mood.

6. Play in the leaves

I think this one is pretty self-explanatory! It’s also super easy to do. We all know we rake up those leaves in the yard but not all of us decide to play in them. It might seem like a childish thing to do – not to mention the fact you’ll have to rake them up all over again – but it’s definitely one of those picture-perfect Fall moments to cross of your list.

7. Get lost in a corn maze

When most people think of corn mazes, they tend to immediately jump to the conclusion that it’s going to be frightening or think of it as something to do for a Halloween scare. While it’s true that there are plenty of corn mazes out there that are turned into something similar to a haunted house, there are also those that you can simply wander in during the day. Get lost through the tall stalks and let yourself get immersed in nature for a short while.
