Even on a tight budget or busy schedule

"What does it mean to invest in yourself?" We hire coaches to push us at the gym, to help our kids improve at sports, and to help our business thrive. What do you do on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis to invest in yourself?

You deserve to unlock your fullest potential and like legendary fitness expert Jack LaLanne says, “Invest in yourself now and reap the dividends day after day after month after year.

What is holding you back from investing in yourself? The most common answers I hear are, “I don’t have enough time” or “Money is tight”.

Below are some lifehacks to help you find solutions.

Why it's important to invest in yourself

Self-Improvement has been found to help in many ways and when you invest in yourself you are taking steps to:

Build confidence

Make you happier

Help keep you motivated

5 easy ways to invest in yourself

Read Self-Improvement Books

Time – Listen to audiobooks while you drive, do chores, or workout

Money – Libraries now offer audiobooks and eBooks

Workout

Time – Take the stairs, run around with the kids after work or wake up 20 minutes earlier for a quick work

Money – Walk or run outside “free”. Use an app (my favorite, and not sponsored) is the peloton app for just $13 a month which offers guided workouts from yoga to weights to outside running

Learn Something New

Time – There is a whole new world of membership & online courses that will breakdown the learning process into 5 to 7-minute chunks

Money – YouTube and blogs are a great FREE resource

Regular Self-Care

Time & Money – Do it at home, no travel time or wait time. From haircuts to manicures, all can be done at home for less time and money

Invest in a Wardrobe You Love

Time – Look into a monthly subscription such as Nordstrom’s TrunkClub to have new styles delivered to you monthly

Money – you only need a few solid pieces to create a well-rounded wardrobe. Use Pinterest and magazines to decide on what key pieces you need and hit the outlets and sales racks OR through a closet swap party with your friends (gather clothes that you want to donate, get together with your friends and swap clothes)

Make 2021 the year you invest in yourself, because you are 100% worth it.
