3 Ways To Be Your Most Authentic Self
Have you ever felt lost? Confused on the next step? Second-guessing your goals?
I, for one, was feeling all of the above. Sure, I knew who my parents wanted me to be, what the media said I should be like.
I had the standard dreams: Graduate high school and go to college, check. Buy a house, check. Have 3 kids with a dog and cat, check.
I look back at it, and these are incredible, admirable goals to have, and I loved every moment that it took for me to accomplish them. But I could not get clear on what came next.
Authenticity
is all about discovering who the true you is. Once you uncover your actual values, dreams, and priority then, and only then, can you live a life that is full of passion and purpose.
1. Dream Big
Yes, I know we are all about to stop dreaming and start living. But at the core, it all begins with a dream. Who do we want to be in 10 years, what type of person are we, how do we look? Think big. Like CRAZY big.
Tip - Write it down, visualize it with a dream board or map it out in a spreadsheet. The goal is to get it out of your head and onto paper. (link to our dream board)
2. Value
Values are your northern star, and what YOU believe is vital in regards to family, work, and your life. Your value will help you determine your priorities and goals. Once you are clear on your values, life becomes more manageable.

3. Purpose / Mission Statement
Discovering your purpose in life is important because it helps guide you to where you want to go. This will look differently for everyone. Your purpose is uniquely your own, don't compare it to some else’s. If your purpose is to provide a safe and loving home for your family, OWN it! That is a beautiful and valuable purpose. If your purpose is to grow a successful business, OWN it. That is also a beautiful and valuable purpose.
Tip – Ask yourself
What are you good at? (teaching, leadership, organizing, baking…ect)What are your personality traits? (calm, focused, sociable, private…)What are your values, dreams, and passions?
Here is an example of a Mission Statement
· OPRAH WINFREY - "To be a teacher. And to be known for inspiring my students to be more than they thought they could be."
Becoming fearlessly authentic is a beautiful journey. Authenticity is the foundation to confidence, success, and happiness. How do you become more authentic? Define what your truly want, what you value and what your purpose our. Getting crystal clear on those three things will give you a guide to unlocking your true self.
