Practical & Proven Ways To Accomplish Your Goals

Updated: Aug 4, 2020

What does finishing a marathon, starting a new business, and learning how to knit have in common? At some point, to one person, they were a dream. A dream that would not stop calling. What dream is calling your name?

The key to unlocking your dream is in your control. We have two choices when a dream keeps calling to us: to push the dream away and try to forget about it or follow the dream to see where it leads us. Which will you choose?

A dream is fun; it's whimsical, it’s make-believe. In our dreams, there are never any setbacks -there are never any fears or mistakes.

Ladies, I am a dreamer. I have been since I was a little girl. But here is the honest to goodness truth. Dreams are not real and if you don't take action, your dream will stay just that. A dream.

We have talked about Joy and Purpose; we are starting to discover our success formula, which means we now have more energy and confidence. We have dreamed and defined who we are.

It's time we take action and turn our dreams into a reality.

3 Steps to Succeed at Your Goals:

"A dream written down with a date becomes a goal. A goal broken down into steps becomes a plan. A plan backed by action makes your dreams come true."

  1. Plan. First things first, we need to create a plan. How are you going to get from where you are today to where you need to be (goal). Here is what having three kids and three companies has taught me. You have to be super selective on the actions you select to do in order to achieve your goal. To help get you started, I’ve come up with a FREE Goal Planner.

  2. Persistence. Basically, you do whatever it takes over and over and over again until you accomplish your goal. Ladies, if you want to learn something new and get good at anything, you practice A LOT. If you're going to build up endurance, you show up and train A LOT. Let’s say you want to get over your fear of rejection, but your goal is to grow your sales. You have to pick up the phone and call A LOT. The key thing to remember is that whatever is the hardest, scariest part of your goal is also probably going to be the most effective. That means you need to keep it up, again and again. Three things will happen here. You are going to: Get BetterGet Faster and More EfficientMaybe learn to enjoy it!

3. Perseverance. I have not met or read about one person who did not have to overcome obstacles, setbacks, or failures to reach their goals. You and I will be no different. Do you want to know a secret to achieve your goals? Here it is. Never give up…. That's it. The path may change, the way you achieve your goals may change, heck even your timeline may need to be adjusted. But if you keep working, if you keep moving forward with your plan, if you are persistent, and you get up again and again and again… You will succeed.

There is no way we can tackle every tip and trick in 600 words. This was just a start, and I am so excited to be able to dive in deeper with you on this topic. For me, patience is the hardest part of a goal. I want results, and I want them yesterday. What is the hardest part for you?
